Thanksgiving, of course, is over for me, at the moment – but I suspect there are quite a few celebrants still stuffing themselves with goodies over in the United States. Anyway, my holiday was surprisingly traditional thanks to Alma going through the trouble to make a really nice holiday dinner. No turkeys, here, though – so we had a nice roast chicken in its’ place. She also prepared some tasty garlic mashed potatoes, vegetables and we even had deviled eggs for an appetizer. For dessert, she made an amazingly good pumpkin pie and all of this was served with proper place settings (knives included – !!). There were 4 of us for dinner and everyone, who was not familiar with this American tradition, enjoyed it thoroughly. A very nice surprise, indeed…

In Memory of Mr. Hercules Johnson who took me to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade when I was a kid (back in the 60s)

And a Happy Thanksgiving RIGHT BACK At you!
Thanks!
