Hi Neal,

It’s a pretty small and self-contained unit designed for just keeping a light, fan, computer and TV running. Nothing fancy. It plugs directly into our bedroom wall outlet (through the window). This outlet is the main electrical connection to the entire house – so that’s convenient. Everything was set up by a local electrician friend of the family for around $10. I’ll take a photo when I get a chance…

Smart move, With all the storms, tornados and such we get in North Texas, I have considered a generator here in Dallas.
I have heard weird stories about what happens to outdoor systems in the tropics (copper contacts corroding away in a year, insects eating up anything organic (ie. insulation), so either hire or learn how to maintain the generator.
